What a night! The KASSAA Girls Volleyball Championships hosted by St. Lawrence College aka the Surge were AMAZING! The Napanee (NDSS) Golden Hawks finally go the monkey off their backs and won a KASSAA Championship for the first time in 22 years in Volleyball. These young girls, coaches and supporters of the team will remember this for the rest of their lives. Well done. The LaSalle Knights gave NDSS everything they had last night and made them work for their Championship. The crowd was loud and proud throughout the game.
It was a Classic showdown between two evenly matched teams in Frontenac Falcons and the Kingston Bears. This game had everything you could have wanted in a volleyball championship. A very enthusiastic crowd that made in clear who they were cheering for throughout the game. The students were LOUD and PROUD. It was an amazing atmosphere to be apart of. FSS won the first two sets and had to earn every point against KSS. In the third set KSS was leading 11-2 when FSS made their comeback to tie things up but KSS was able to secure the win in the set. In the fourth and final set, FSS was too much on this Championship night and came out on top as KASSAA Repeat Champions.
We wish all schools participating in the EOSSAA Championships all the best and good luck next week.
